Viking Ships
Saga Farmann is a reconstruction of the Klåstad ship, a 16.5-metre knarr that was found at Klåstadkilen near Larvik. The 20-metre ship weighs 25 tonnes and runs on four Pod 7.5 electric motors.
SeaDrive has developed the Azimut pod,
an electric motor that can be rotated. This means that the engine that that propels the boat also functions as a thruster, and provides increased manoeuvrability.
